I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
